Bancroft and Dixwell Apartments

Bancroft and Dixwell Apartments are a significant source of affordable housing throughout Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, and these homes are in need of upgrades. The refinancing and renovation of Bancroft Dixwell will provide families with improved and upgraded units, all while preserving affordable homes in the neighborhood.

1599 Columbus Avenue

1599 Columbus is a major milestone in the ongoing revitalization of Jackson Square. The development of new affordable housing will support the community and bring economic opportunities to the area. The building will include approximately 3,200 SF of retail/community activation space, bicycle storage, laundry facilities, and a resident function room. The building will meet the U.S. Green Building Council LEED Homes Platinum certifiable standard and is pursuing PHIUS Passive House CORE Certification.

Mildred C. Hailey Apartments (MCHA)

Urban Edge, Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), and The Community Builders (TCB) have teamed up to form Centre Street Partners (CSP) to redevelop Phase I of Mildred Hailey Apartments in partnership with the Boston Housing Authority (BHA). There will be a unit-for-unit replacement of the 253 affordable rental homes located on the campus, supplemented by another 420 income-restricted rental homes, and a new Anna Mae Cole Community Center.

Area Median Income (AMI): 253 will replace existing affordable rental homes for MCHA families and 420 will be new affordable and moderate-rate units


Walnut Park

Walnut Park marks our first affordable homeownership new construction project in decades. Currently in the conceptual development stage, we envision building 30 affordable homes. Over the next few years, we will implement a community engagement process to refine the concept into plans.
