Soon to be delivering over 100 units of Affordable Housing

1595-1599 Columbus Ave:
For our upcoming 1595-1599 Columbus Ave project we are happy to share the news that the Zoning Board of Appeal (ZBA) gave the green light to the 65-unit affordable housing proposal for 1599 Columbus Ave. on Jan. 14.

Approximately 4,000 square feet of non-residential commercial space on the ground floor with frontage on Columbus Ave. The building will be a total of six stories, one for the commercial space and five residential stories above. The retail entrance will be on Columbus Ave., and the residential entrance will be on Amory Street. Also on Amory St. will be the management office, a large community room, and mail and other residential support space

Holtzer Park:

Holzer Park is part of the Boston Housing Authority’s 125 Amory Street redevelopment, a joint venture between The Community Builders (TCB), Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), and Urban Edge to renovate and preserve 199 public housing units and repurpose BHA administrative offices into 12 new affordable units. An additional 134 units of affordable housing and 215 market rate apartments in three new buildings are being constructed adjacent to this BHA property. The 199 existing units and 12 new units at 125 Amory Street will be preserved as deeply affordable through Section 8 project-based vouchers (PBV) which will be provided by the Boston Housing Authority.

Thank you to the BPDA, Mayor Marty Walsh, ZBA, and elected officials for all the continued support! Special thanks to our neighbors who joined community meetings for 1599 Columbus.
